Feeding Dogs Raw Meat – CalculatorWe have prepared a calculator to help you to find out the amount of raw meat to give to your dog per day when feeding dogs raw meat. This is mainly based on my personal experience and can slightly differ by breed and activity level.
That is my story and how I have advised my puppy owners to raise their dogs to stay healthy and live long and happy life.
I feed my dogs dry food and raw food. But always separately. I think that dry food is from Satan 😀 and humans use it only because humans are lazy. No one would ever feed their children with Kelloggs 20 years. But people do it with dogs and then wonder why dogs are not healthy and develop cancer and other health problems. The health comes from the nature, the health comes from the raw food not from chemistry laboratories.
Real food for dogs is actually Raw Food which for dogs is raw meat with bones, raw chicken (can be full chicken with bones), raw eggs, cottage cheese, yoghurt, milk, sauer milk etc. My dogs eat also carrots, bananas, watermelon, melon, cabbage, grapes, berries, apples, peanuts…. just name it…. basically everything that grows in the nature.
Like wolf eats in nature also dog can eat. That the dog would grow up healthy it needs high quality natural food. Feeding dogs raw meat is especially needed for the first year of the dogs life to build up and develop good immunity system.
Raw meat can be found in markets with quite reasonable prices or in supermarkets during campaigns. When I calculated it was cheaper for me to feed my dogs with raw food than the super premium kibble I used. Raw food amount is 2-3% of the grown up dogs weight with low activity dog and as much as up to 10% in very high activity and small dogs. Raw vegetables can dog eat on top of the meat as much as he wants. In the nature animals know what to eat and how much to eat.
We have prepared a calculator to help you to find out the amount of raw meat to give to your dog per day. This is mainly based on my personal experience and can slightly differ by breed and activity level. But at least it’s where to start from.
