Bone Broth Jellies
This weeks’ jelly treats are probably the healthiest dog treats in the world! A simple 3 ingredient recipe that has no sugar, no salt, no preservatives and is a real super food. Bone broth is great for the blood, the immune system, aids digestion and is overall anti-inflammatory. Garlic cleans the blood and is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral, also keeps fleas, ticks and worms away. And for the skin, nails, coat and joints there is gelatin.
Bone broth is an immune boosting superfood that even dogs who are sick and don’t eat will enjoy to get back on their feet. It’s best if you make your own bone broth instead of buying it, it’s easy to make and a lot cheaper too. If you decide to buy it just make sure it’s human grade or better specifically made for dogs and cats.
If using gelatin I suggest being careful with monosodium glutamate (E621), a lot of gelatins have it as a flavour enhancer. Look for the natural grass-fed gelatin brand. I personally like Great Lakes gelatin.
